Where to keep contracts and childs details safe

As the title says really. We use to keep ours in our study in a large binder but my brother has moved into our study and noow need to think of a bettewr place to keep it
So where do you all keep yours.

In a locked metal file box in a bedroom which doubles as my "office" . Box can easily be moved if anyone comes to stay.
