I have been asked a number of times recently about using Learning Stories to complement observations.

I have written an information sheet for free resources here on the forum and put the advice on my blog -

Sarah's Blog: Learning stories for childminders (http://knutsfordchildminding.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/learning-stories-for-childminders.html)

I hope you find it useful!

Do you use learning stories? Do parents enjoy reading them? Feedback would be great! :D

I use 'learning stories' after researching Dr Margaret Carr for my degree. Fantastic way of showcasing a whole activity.

I think some people still get them mixed up with learning journeys. In fact if you google learning stories you find that organisations such as BCMA are describing something which is not a true learning story.

Parents love them and as they are quite long they fit in well with my minimal observations:D
