I have a fab little boy leaving after having looked after him since he was 3 months old. I have made an album of all the photos, some pictures he has drawn over the years & got some of my other mindees to write something too but I would love to put a wee poem in his leaving card - just to say how much he will be missed by everyone etc. can anyone help me - I have been trying all day to think of something suitable but so far ZERO! My 14 year old son did come up with something but it was rather rude and totally unsuitable although it did make me chuckle.

What a lovely idea I'd love to help but my poetic talents are the same as my artistic, music, ICT and needlework talents - non existant - Quite a catch really don't you think!!!!!!!!!

Actually I'm good at most of the things men look for in a wife - cooking is one of them - I'll leave the rest to your imagination.

Being a natural poet wouldn't do it for my DH - not a romantic bone in his body these days.

You are a very special person
And you should know,
How much we have loved getting to know you
And how fast the months did go!

There's so much to know

One thing we tried to teach you
To last your whole life through,
Is to know that you are special
Just because you are you

Any good? :D

Thankyou Sarah - I read it out to my husband and I started to cry! It is just what I am looking for. I hate when fab mindees leave and this little boy has been a joy to look after & I will be so upset on his last day which is Thursday at 5pm!! His parents are so lovely too & have even asked my husband and I out for dinner as a thankyou! I asked mindee today if he will miss me and he said "yes especially your snacks & your box of cars!!??" Mmmm.... maybe wont miss me quite as much as I thought!

Thanks again Sarah - will try not to cry too much when I write it into his card!
