Hi everybody,

I finally got my Registration certificate through, got insurance and everything sorted and ready to start. My NCMA Toolkit hasnt arrived yet so dont have any contracts or anything. I have my first person coming to look around tomorrow, now I know this is going to sound really stupid, but if they say they would like to start whats next? I guess I cant do anything until my contracts arrive. Also, when my first person starts, do I need to let anybody know? Do I need to inform Ofsted that I have a child on role or is it just me that needs to know?

Sorry for stupid questions - just wanting to check

Kellyann

Yes you need contracts before you start working or you won't be insured.

Do you have any childminders locally who can loan you a contract if parents want to sign?? You can pay them back when yours come through.

You must let HMRC know as soon as you start taking money.

Good luck with the parents!! :D

Ah ha, never thought of that, there are a few local childminders who may be able to help out. Do you mean letting HMRC know as in registering self employed?
So I don't need to contact Ofsted to let them know I have taken on a child?

Thankyou for your reply x
