Hi

It went fine he said I will have no probs with getting reg'd however there seems to be an issue with the hand rail and spindles on the decking in the garden. He seems to think that they may be an inch wider than the maximum allowed and is worried a child may get thru them as there is a drop the other side of around 24 inches.

Does anyone know what the gap should be as looking at it I cant see a small child getting thru them as the spindles are shaped so are narrower than others in some parts.

We also have another drop in the garden of around 18 inches and seems to think that we will need a fence instead of just the big bushes and plant hedge that we had planned.

What does everyone think?

I had to put a sheet of plywood against my bannisters because they were too wide apart ...

There are regulations about the widths of bannisters and spindles.

My ex wasn't happy, the staircase was one of the reasons he bought the house :laughing:
