Just wondered for all us newbies, is there anything like a list of all we have to do? Outside of caring for children.

Eg.
Daily-
register
Dairies
Eyes open for observation opportunities

Monthly-
Smoke alarm check

Yearly-
Etc etc

Ive just written this based on looking at Eyfs and my random knowledge...

Daily:
Any observations?
House check in morning - safe?
Gates, high chair, car seats, buggy - safe?
Baby monitor working?
Garden check - clean, locked and safe.
Any forms for parents to sign?
Nappy bag sorted
Daily diaries
Register of attendance
Outside play
Main activity
Keys and phone on person, charged, credit
Receipts stored, expenditure for day logged
Check fridge/freezer/radiators - note if problem

Weekly:
Check smoke alarms
Weekly plan and evaluation of activities
Wash sheets and flannels

Monthly-termly:
Observations/learning journals/next steps/photos
Fire drill
Check 1st aid kit and refill as needed
Flea pets
Check risk assessments

3 months:
Worm pets

6 months - a year:
Self evaluation form
Tax self assessment

3 years:
Child protection
First aid

Have I missed anything ot anything not right?

I do RAs as needed and at least annually... you will also need to review things like policies and procedures at least annually.

You would wash towels and bedding after use...

You'll find yourself settling into it over the first few months :D

Each day: Get up at last possible moment
leave curtains drawn incase of very early arrivals!
pick up from night before (!)
remove bread knife hubby has left on worktop whilst tutting
obs if any
fling anything that needs it in the washing machine and sometimes remember to turn it on
play lots
write something in diaries, mostly in the right child's.
make lists of all the things i would have done had I thought of it!
open wine!

Depends what you are talking about I guess. I change my tea towels and cloths daily anyway (or more if needed), the children use flannels for hand drying which go straight into the wash everytime, same as bibs but I keep separate bedding for each child so would only wash this once a week unless soiled for any reason.
