Hi all just wondering from start to finish how long did it take for you to become A childminder

It took me 9 months from start to finish and I had to push & phone constantly to get it done that quick.
My ICP course got cancelled & CRB's took forever to come through.

It can also vary depending on which county you live in too.

Hope you don't have to wait too long

Took me just 4 months, and it was the crb checks making it that long. xx

Took me well over a year. This was mainly because of problems getting a place on a course, due to the college cancelling it 6 times. It's a different qualification now, so probably not a good comparison.

Good luck. :)

Almost exactly a year between doing the initial information session to actually getting my certificate - held up somewhat by the fact that we moved in the middle of it though

But was 5 months before I could get on the ICP - and then my GP took ages to sort out my medical information......
