I have just tried to book on a safeguarding leading practitioner course with my local authority, but have now been told I cannot do so as I have not done their introduction course but a virtual college one. I am so cross, so now I have to book onto one of their courses before taking the SLP course, what a waste of time and effort!

has anyone done the SLP course? It is permanently booked up here.... does it add anything to the two day course?
I cant see there's anything more really you can say about the subject.....

I have just managed to get on a course to update my safeguarding - it has to be LA approved according to the EYFS and that is causing a lot of people huge problems :(

So yes unfortunately if your LA say you have to jump through this hoop and over that river and crawl through the other tunnel to do your safeguarding - then that's what you have to do!
