Where does everyone store their dressing up stuff? mine is shoved in a blanket box but i have some lovely stuff and want to store it where its easily reached by the little ones. Anyone got any ideas? I have seen some fab rails in the galt catalogue but dont want to spend a fortune!

I have hooks on the side of my storage tower - so there on display & the idea is that they can help themselves.

All my dressing up hats etc are in a box in the storage tower :)

Its from Ikea - the idea is you buy different sized & coloured boxes that slide in if that makes sence?

I will look on the ikea website & try & add a link

It's just slung in a box. A rail would be nice but get in the way and be annoying. At least a box I can shove in a cupboard

Ooooh s t o r a g e - i love storage. I have just got two of the smaller 'towers' and think they are great I want more but have no room.

Sorry, I feel better now.

About the dressing up - unfortunately no room for hanging that although it would be nice. Mine is all in a large crate along with hats, handcuffs, binoculars and all. I would love to be able to store it in a more appropriate way. Here's hoping somebody has a fab idea.

Would also love to have a storage tower with doors - have seen them in the Galt brochure but they are so expensive.

My dressing up clothes are on a little rail I bought from Argos - I'm sure it was less than a tenner. They used to be in a box and they weren't very easily accessible for the little ones

I'll be interested to see what you come up with monkey - my dressing up clothes are in a pop-up basket from Ikea so not very accessible - kids tend to pull everything out!

A link to the mirror would be good too - does it have safety glass?

in my house when we bought it (bearing in mind it had no central heating in ) there were rails hanging on the doors for curtains to hang on behind the door ( draught excluders)
i hang the dressing up clothes on there and put the accesories in a chest of drawers
the children can't reach the clothes but you can see every item so they can tell me what they want and i bring it down

it does stop the pulling everything out thing and displays everything quite nicely

I've got some really bulky dressing up things....
a gorilla outfit, the alien outfit and bullseye from toy story.
I just knocked nails into the wall and hung them on hangers. They looked really good, but got a bit dusty!

im getting a blanket box for my dressing up clothes and some other toys tht will go in it too

argos sell cheap clothes rails hun, if you got a shelf on the wall that isnt to high put/attach a net curtain wire under it and hand clothes to that.

We have a pink clothes rail that DD used before she got a wardrobe so Im going to cut it down a bit so its not so wide and put that in the summer house with boxes on the bottom rails for shoes, hat, gloves etc.
