Hi, I have storage heaters in my flat. I can see potentially they may be a bit of a hazard as the switch us low on the floor, theres 2 switches on top that are easily reached and there is a grille type bit on top. Will I need to get guards for these? I was thinking about getting some wooden ones made up. X

I used to have storage heaters. I found by the time the kids could reach the top they were old enough to know not to - the front doesn't get hot so safer than a radiator in that respect. The switches are perfect child height - but - being storage heaters they don't react instantly to the switch so checking as you pass (soon becomes habit) was enough I found. I put a child's craft table in front of the one in my front room for a while and a toy trug in front of the switch when i had a curious crawler. Worked well.
