Next month I will have reached my milestone of minding for 25 years.
I have organised a party and have invited as many children and parents as I can get hold of. Just counted the children altogether 64!!!!!!! Will be nice to find out what some of the children/adults are doing now.
The day after I am going out for a meal with local childminders.
It certainly is something to celebrate as I have survived EFYS and still enjoy my job very much.

What have others done when you have reached 25 years?

Congratulations - I originally registered in 1989, but gave up for 8 years - so I guess I have to start counting again from 2005 - don't think I'll get to 25 years this time round - I'm already feeling too old for all this!

What a lovely idea to have a re-union - make sure you get the newspaper to do an article - I have got an old clipping dated 1988 about my daughter's old childminder saying "Sue is Mum to more than 150 children" think it was for national childminding week, to raise profile of childminders. My daughter is 27 next week and I trusted Sue with my baby aged just 8 week old - she is a lovely lady, still lives locally and she came to my daughters wedding earlier this year.

6 years to go for me - I will probably try and do the same - still see some of my ex children now for my charity coffee mornings with the parents

and if I get that far I will certainly have a few glasses of bubbly:)

Congratulations Carol !!:clapping: Enjoy your party and catching up with past children and parents.

I had a party for my 25th ..... and 30th .... this yr is 33 ys and still going strong!:phew::D

As you say we have survived all the changes... EYFS being a biggy, and come out fairly sane(in my case that could be questioned some days !!) and unscathed !!

Here's to you celebrating many more years.
