Squeezed parents cannot afford childcare - Telegraph (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/women/mother-tongue/familyadvice/9609548/Squeezed-parents-cannot-afford-childcare.html)

It appears that she may have changed her mind about looking at the option to fully deregulating childminders from Ofsted. One of the paragraphs towards the bottom states

"We are looking at how to allow new childcare providers to enter the system, while making it easier for existing providers to get on by cutting red tape. This would take place within the existing Ofsted regulatory structure, which is trusted by parents and valued by the profession.
Ofsted will still inspect individual childminders. The underlying philosophy is similar to the Government’s school reforms: trusting local leaders to deliver, giving them flexibility, and making them accountable with strong safeguards."

I really hope this is all true and that Elizabeth truss has now changed her stance and is on our side. But i suppose as always we will have to wait and see
