Where do you record these events? Currently doing my diploma & not sure. Would it be accident & incident book. Do you inform RIDDOR, I know you tell Ofsted for missing child but do you tell them about C pox??? THANKS

I would write up an incident report for missing child and as you said inform ofsted I woudn't report chicken pox

here is a list of notifiable diseases

yes, i would write up an incident report for a missing child, but not necessarily tell ofsted, if it was only for a couple of minutes, i would just do a new thorough risk assessment around the circumstances. I would not tell ofsted about chicken pox, but just mark why the child was absent for that time in their record.

You have to inform ofsted about a missing child within 14 days, an ofsted officer was telling me about how a cm didn't inform ofsted and they were being investigated for not reporting
