I went on a training course on inclusion recently and was told by the trainer (who works for my local authority and is also an Ofsted Inspector) it is good practice to have a SEN Register. Does anyone else have one or use something similar ?

Oh dear this either means its a silly thing to ask or no one knows what I am going on about lol

I was told if you have child with any addittional needs, for example a 26 month old who is not talking then you can add them to your register and show what provisions you have put in place to encourage speach. Does that make sense? Or fpr example a child with aspergers or similar would go on the register. It shows Ofsted that you are giving addittional support to children who need it.

I just have a care plan for every child - not something special to mark any one child out as different :D
