I look after a little one for 1 day and 2 mornings a week, her mum will be losing her job soon due to cut backs so she is looking for another job.

My question is, if she is offered a job for the days I already mind 3 little ones can I offer her a space due to continuity of care?

yes, as long at LO remains in your care. if she leaves, then i'm not sure!

If mum agrees you could write up a new contract covering 'hours as required' and she could use you while she attends interviews, training etc and then when she has a job you can do a new contract to cover her new hours.
Is that sneaky:blush:
Or being realistic:)
I have had two of my mums made redundant recently, both still needed odd hours here and there to cover interviews and once of twice for a bit of peace!!
They are both aware that if one gets a full time place then I would not be able to offer the other full time, but could do part time for them, so it is something of a race. But both have had continuous contracts with me, just in case.
