Hi,

I wonder if you can help. I have a lo who has breakfast with me 3 mornings a week and I charge 50p per breakfast. He has just been diagnosed as having celiac (sp) disease so he can not have Gluton so parents have started to provide the cereal and I give him the milk that goes with the cereal.

I have been having a discussion with my husband about this and we don't feel the same. I think I should no longer charge for breakfast as my fee is including snacks and drinks and I class milk as a drink even if it is to have with his cereal where as my husband feels that I should charge as I am still providing the milk for breakfast.

What would you do? To charge or not to charge?

Thanks

melco

How old is LO? Only ask as if they are under 5, you are entitiled to claim 1/3 of a pint of milk a day for them.

Its also spelt Coeliac Disease (my DD has it) and you can join Coeliac UK online (http://www.coeliac.org.uk/) and they will send you a monthly emal with lots of useful information etc. The food is horrendous (my dog wouldnt eat it) but you get there. Monitor this disease as we also found out that my DD is allergic to dairy and soya also and now has to have specialist milk - milk that you cannot claim for and mum would need to get on prescription for LO if the same happened.
