Linking colours with areas of development

Just wondering where everyone is linking 'colours' in the revised areas of development?

I have found the mixing and exploring colours in EAD but not learning or naming the colours to start with

Lots and lots of references to various things children do and say are missing from the revised Development Matters document!

It is going to be really hard if we try to link everything in the same way we did the previous DM - and even in that there were big gaps.

The best advice is to find the closest match - so as you rightly say the child has developed a new skill which is linked to A & D :D

Used to be able to mark most things off without looking but Things have moved as well, like mark making was in Communication Language and literacy before now its in Physical Development

I have gone with Expressive arts -Experiments with blocks, colours and marks- as we were painting
