Ofsted have only gone and lost my brothers Identity Verification Forms! :mad:I am really annoyed at this as it took me a good few weeks to get these sorted out.

They are adamant that I never sent them the IVF forms when actually I did and they have clearly lost them! I am worried now as I have a loan coming through in a matter of weeks and the first repayment is in November :panic: which leaves me with less than 4 weeks to secure my first parent and earn enough to pay my way

Has anyone else experienced such problems?:(

Sounds normal to me, always e mail if you can and if not send registered delivery to ofsted so they can't deny delivery.

Really sorry this has happened to you, hope you get this sorted quickly.

sounds normal to me too - they lost my Risk assessment for when I moved house. I rang them and they told me they hadn't had it - I reprinted and was going to send it recorded delivery then they phoned to say it had been found 'under a pile of papers on someone's desk'

So after such a long wait because of their hopelessness I said I trust it is all ok and can I have my new certificate as it was only a week till mindee came back - I had given them 6 weeks to sort it

I'm afraid if we were to grade Ofsted on their performance as vigorously as they inspect us and grade us then they would most likely end up with "Inadequate" they have lost lots of stuff I've sent them so I now always send it recorded and ring to check that they have received it.

Hmmm...let me see.....

They lost;

My son's CRB form
My husbands health form
My daughters CRB form
My son's CRB form ( again )

then a few months later ....

They phoned to say my son and daughter didn't have crb checks
When I said but I have their certificates right here they asked me to send them to them ! Not a chance !
I said I would send a photocopy or they could come out and see them.
Never heard back about that one.

When my youngest son was 16 they sent the forms out for him. We duly filled them in and sent them off.
When we didn't hear back after a few months I phoned to ask about them.

Apparently they'd never even heard of him even though they sent his forms out !

Gosh Twinkles you sound like me!!

Osted have never CRBed my DH after two years or going back and forth and filling in forms 3 times they accepted a new enhanced CRB from another organisation

My dd took them 2 years to do

My ds is 18 in 6 weeks we have sent forms off 3 times and still nothing. His Scout Association Enhanced one came through in 10 days this week

hahaha yes, all the time, I hear new childminders say they have been waiting and waiting to hear from Ofsted, finally ring to find out what the delay is and invariably they are waiting for some paperwork that has actually been sent to them weeks before. Of course they deny receiving it.
Not funny really - only in the ironic sense that they then have to come and check us and pick on anything minutae they can find.

I've learnt from experience, so anything that is sent to Ofsted now is sent via Recorded Delivery!

I had difficulty with Ofsted, they needed to send me and letter and needed a reply before registration which I asked them to email me which they said they couldn't as it contained confidential information....It took three weeks of them getting more annoyed each time I phoned them to admit they had lost the letter ( I had sent it registered so had proof they had recieved it). they then emailed me the origional letter for me to re reply:panic:
