Hi I have a lovely little tikes work bench with tools but need proper fitting nails that the kids can hammer into the holes. Any idea where I can get them? Failing that , any other set with good fitting play nails that are stiff and need good hammering to flatten - talking three year old strength.

Advice appreciated as ever xx

Couldn't find any little tikes ones - have you tried emailing them?

Did find this idea though

I'm surprised there's not more out there... Hammering is definitely something they all love to do around three to five . Any other ideas anyone? My eirkbench would be great if I could get plastic nails! Little tikes only do what they call a sound board now x

We have a huge box of golf tees that we use for hammering in the house. They can be knocked into boxes, polysterene, even pumpkins, anything.

Outside we use large headed clout nails in wood chunks.

Don't know where you can buy toy ones from though. Sorry.

I use golf tees as well. You can get big bags quite cheaply on ebay.

I bought spare ones from little tikes when I picked up a work bench for £1. Nails cost more than the bench but they sent them really quickly just ring them.
