Hello!

I'm just ploughing through the "Preparing for the EYFS 2012" checklist compiled by the lovely Sarah (thank you again), but have a question. It says we no longer will be required to gain permission from parents to obtain medical advice or treatment on behalf of a child. I was just wondering where we stand if the need arises that we do actually need to seek some kind of medical advice or treatment?

The permission to seek blah blah was never of any value!

Emergency services will do what is needed until parents or someone with PR arrives to care for the child.

They will not listen to childminders - unless of course you have a child who needs specialist care and then you should, as part of their care plan, include a letter from parents that travels with them to hospital.
