Checklist of main changes to the EYFS 2012

I have been asked to write this document by a number of childminders.

It lists the MAIN changes to the EYFS 2012 in a checklist format.

It can be printed and completed as part of your continued professional development.

1 thing outstanding - still waiting to hear from LA about approved safeguarding courses :rolleyes:

thank you so much for this - i have so much to do at present - currently doing a NVQ level 3, have 2 new starters next week, building a new playroom, planning a wedding, organising my accounts etc that all the things i need to change for the revised EYFS was last on my list so this document has really helped me to focus on getting what i need done. :clapping::clapping:

So many childminders get to inspection day and realise they've forgotten what they have achieved over the last 3 or more years.

it's much easier if you write it down :D

CPD is so important - either using the Ofsted SEF or your own system if you don't get on with the Ofsted one. i do update my Ofsted sef regularly but have started a separate CPD system to keep a log of exactly what I do as I seem to be forever tweaking things; i've now got a clear record of what i can add to my sef :rolleyes:

CPD seems to be a bigger part of the new EYFS so having a separate system to the SEF seemed a good idea :)

Fixed the prob with printing. Uncheck the box on printer pop up that says : "Save to file".

Just a bit of feedback on this document ...

A childminder emailed me to say she was inspected the other day and showed her Ofsted inspector my check list and how she had filled it in ... scribbled all over it... made all the changes etc.

She said the inspector was really positive about it and very complimentary.

Ofsted love CPD - the more the better - so if you haven't already, here's your reminder to get printing and do the updating! :jump for joy:
