I have a 33 month old boy that I mind. He absolutely adores painting and sticking. So far we have done hand painting; finger painting; running cars, trains, etc through and making tracks; normal brush painting; foam letters; animals prints and bubblewrap. Sticking, he just sticks anything onto the sheet.

Can anyone give me any other sorts of variations I can do with this?

Thanks

Hi, I'm planning on doing this at some point, it would depend on whether you have glass or patio doors though, brush water on the glass and stick foam shapes to it. This website is fab for ideas, I love it :) Hope you can open the link :)

Cut pieces from clear boxes and plastic bags and glue them on to glue coloured with paint or glitter - put the glue on thick and watch it squish - paint on different textures - all the card from your recycling box, put textures in like sawdust - you don't have to continually think up new ideas - remember that children learn by repetition, he will make up his own variations if left to explore with paints and paper - he will explore colour mixinf, how to make different marks, what happens to the paper if he puts loads of paint on, what happens when the paint has almost gone.... it is all valuable, don't feel it isn't just because it doesn't have bells and whistles on!!!
