No as long as its normal hours, not over night care.

You can mind on whatever day you like as its your business :)

:littleangel: Hi It might be a good idea to check with Ofsted, but I think if it's only over night minding that needs extra consent, otherwise certificate's would say no overnight or weekend minding

Hi, Just wondering what hours do they class as overnight>?

Thanks Lou

When the child is staying to sleep at your house, dont think times are relevant. if the arrive at night and stay til the morning, thats overnight

Check the standards I am sure it states hours to be classed as overnight something silly liek after 2am or similar but could be wrong

No you dont have to notify anyone to work weekends only if you were doing overnight minding

I asked Ofsted what constitutes overnight care - because you can provide care from 6 pm - 2am without being registered some people were assuming you could provide care up til 2am without registering for overnight.

The way Ofsted explained it to me was that you could provide care in the evening as long as they're not going to bed in your home at night. If you need to get them ready for bed or start any part of the bedtime routine you need to be registered for overnight care.
