Hi all,
I usually do an 'All about me' topic for Sept and this year I thought I would make a tree for each of the children to colour/stencil/stamp, get them to cut out (age/stage) apple shapes that I will attempt to draw for them if they can and ask parents to send in photo's of immediate family and maybe family pets, close friends.

So.... we will make 'Family Tree's' and display them around the playroom.

I think I've covered the planning correctly but I'm not sure what to put in the Literacy box.... I know it's a Specific area not a Prime so can I leave it blank? or should I put something Phonic related in there?

The prime areas are the most important to establish from early in life.

That does not mean you ignore the others!! They are still very important in a child's learning and development.

Children will still read books, make imaginary phone calls, dance and sing, be interested in ladybirds... that will not change!
