How do I charge for this?

Hiya, I currently look after a 1yr old. Last week he was picked up earlier than usual (I text mum to say he wasn't right, so she got dad to come get him, even tho he wasn't 'poorly' as such!) What I'm a bit confused with, is, as the title says, how do i charge for this sort of situation?!!! Obviously I was still available to work, but he wasn't poorly!!! (and was back the next day) Its probably some ridiculously easy answer, but its been a long day, so please forgive me!!!!!!!

Do you have a contract? Do you have a clause in the contract saying that if he is sick you still charge the contracted hours? If you do and have set hours you charge for the set hours, if he was sick then still charge for the set hours. If they decided to pick him up early because he wasn't right, you still charge for the set hours.
