Could anyone give me a heads up on some good reading material for the EYPS?

- feel a little un-prepared and would like to swot up so to speak! Am doing the longer pathway so I will attend a course on Play, pedagogy, childhood studies and so on and so forth before they start assessing me on EYPS. Feeling a bit nervous and knowing that I will be taking a lot on in a short space of time thought I may benefit by getting a heads start on reading material.

Thanks, Jules

I've just been sent a reading list today by best practice. Bit scared now actually! I can e-mail you it if you haven't got one yet.

I've just had an email form the college, it's got dates for 'in' days, reading list and an outline of what's expected. I'll PM you my email, if you send me an email back I'll forward you what I've got.
Not sure if the dates will be the same but it'll give you a heads up on the reading.

I've only got to go in once a month for 4 months, 2 half day sessions and 2 full day sessions
But it's an awful long reading list to get through in 6 months!:panic:

really?!:panic: I am dreading it not only from an intelligence point of view but of a time management point of view - and want to get ahead start - when I asked my uni about if I could get a head start on reading something she said not to worry - wish she'd given me just one! AT least you are not expected to have absorbed it all before you start!!
I confirmed my place a couple of weeks ago and probably won't hear anything until start of September now.

I know it's not all a MUST from a reading point of view and there's only really the EYFS and Tickell review, which I'm already familiar with but it's a very long list of suggested further reading, I'd have hoped they would send it out sooner, especially as It's only doing the 6 month course.
Don't think I'll fit all that reading in and do the assignments, even if I start now and take it on holiday with me. OH will not be happy :panic:

NOOOO don't take it on holiday with you!!

It is a lot isn't it! - such a long list just makes it more daunting!
