I normally only have babies and pre schoolers but this Friday an exmindee, rising 5, will be coming to me for the day. We normally go to a play group that morning, so I was wondering if it is against the law for her to travel in the front seat, in an appropriate child seat, with a passenger airbag that can't be turned off?

I have to do the same one day a week for a school run, the 5 year old sits in front on a booster seat - this then makes her a similar height to a 12 year old that the car manufacturersrecommends is the age children can sit in front with active airbag. I move the passengers seat back as far as it will go.

I think as long as child has a booster seat then will be fine just don't ever put rear facing baby seat in front with active air bag.

Thanks ladies. I will put her in the high back booster seat and the seat right back. The play group it a bit too far to walk to.
