Anybody take this course before getting your registration number from Ofsted? I had my Pre reg visit last we'd (4th)' and advised by the inspector to take the course. She said It will be for my own good. I would like to, but went to NCMA website and it's not cheap, it will cost me £30. :panic:

I haven't got any extra money for that, as I need to pay my GP £20 for signing my health declaration form. On top of that, I havnt got any prospective client. I'm starting to think it will gonna take months before I can actually start minding children. (Big big sigh)!

Sorry for the moan ladies, i just need to take this out of me.
Thank u for reading :)

Does your local council not do a free course? Here in Oxfordshire I was able to get on a specialist course for safeguarding for free. Might be different in your area but worth checking out

Hi, here in Wiltshire you can do a free course on line, don't even have to leave the comfort of your arm chair, I'm sure other areas do them as well. X

Thanks for your reply ladies! Im in Southend, Essex. I've spoken to my local council & they don't offer the course. So, I have to go either local colleges who offer the course or NCMA. I'm stuck, so maybe I'll just save up & do the NCMA one as its online and very flexible. :)
