I have been selling/giving to the charity shop the tonnes of plastic toys and vtech etc stuff that have seriously cluttered up my house. The children haven't really been playing with them and they are mostly just taking up space and gathering dust.

So, I'd like to replace all the plastic with some really nice quality, perhaps wooden toys. I'm not sure really. I have enough things left to meet the current needs of the children that I have. I have children of all ages here so am looking for nice things for any age group really. Just some suggestions! Is there anything anyone has bought that the children really love? More specific things than whole websites to look at please or I will bankrupt myself

For indoors or outdoors! Inspire me.

Along with wooden food, cars, building blocks, tea sets, abacus, stacking rings, threading beads & cotton reels.

The children also love the basket of wooden 'things' - egg cup, curtain ring, wooden spoon, bangle, nut cracker, little box and all sorts of little wooden things that take my fancy when I'm out shopping!

I love and have the wooden toys from GLTC. www.GLTC.co.uk

I have a wooden kitchen, tool bench, storage, sandpit, wooden activity cube and shop/role play area.
I have had them for almost 3 years now and although they were expensive, they have lasted really well and still look good.
