Hello there -
I am a newly Ofsted childminder - registered in May 2012.
i just have a few questions (sorry if i sound thick ;)
How long had you been registered before you registered your business (or have you not bothered ??) i've heard mixed answers, but think i'd rather do sooner than later.
Also I need to work on my policies & procedures, can you advise me which are the main ones to start off with - we were told on the course to have everything, but the lady who interviewed me said not.
I am charging £3.50 per hour, and £25 for an 8 hour day - i've had some feedback that i'm selling myself too cheap - my arguement is that there are loads of childminders in a 5/10 mile radius, and i would like to make myself standout - plus i don't need to be earning mega money - one of the girls i did my course with is charging £38 per day and then extras on top -
Any advice will be gratefully received x
