Drop offs/pick ups

Does anyone do drop offs or pick ups from home for their mindees?

If so what do you charge if say it was only 2 mile away?

I picked up a boy on the way to school it was kinda on my way, I charged £5.

I also for a few weeks picked up a girl after school and dropped her off it was less than 1/2 mile from the school and was on my way home I charged £5, although I wouldn't have done it if I wasn't going to the school for another mindee.

If you charge for petrol etc you are running a taxi service and need different insurance.

If you charge for your time and it is part of your normal childminding day that's fine.
