Has anyone harvested their 'grow your own potatoes' yet. There is a lot of greenery coming out of my growbags, but I dare not empty them out to find a bag of soil and no potatoes.:panic:

We dug ours up yesterday, we got 24 good sized ones - double last years crop! I cooked them up and made potato salad for dinner :)

We done one bag today, I was worried as they got battered by the winds recently and the snails/slugs found them. We had 22 decent potatoes we found lots of tiny baby ones as well so we could of kept them longer. We are going to do the other bag on Thurs when I have the other children. I did love the kids faces though as they found them.

Dug up my local ones today and got some good sized ones and lots of small ones- about the size of cherry tomatoes - shall I bin the small ones? The others haven't started to flower yet so wil leave them. Have to say, the children absolutely loved it. It kept them busy for ages. Do you keep the compost or bin it? Did any of you add plant food or manure? I didn't.

I have been told that ours have flowered when it was very wet and hubby is going to harvest some next week when he is home early and little mindie is here. Will just need to stop her digging everything up after that as she tried when we first planted

One of my 2 bags looks very promising, lots of greenery and flowers - looks very healthy.......the other bag however.......is dying and has black leaves  oh well, we'll have to wait and see, I think I am about 1-2 weeks behind with planting.
