Hi there

My Inspection is in a few days, please help!

I have just moved house and so I'm completely unorganised!

I need some help as to what I need in place before the inspector comes.
Checklists please. I'm really starting to panic!

Thanks

Have a read through the booklet 'Are you ready for your inspection?' on the Ofsted website - make sure you can tick all the boxes.

Good luck! :D

Double check all your paperwork and try and keep calm! :)

I'm sure you'll be fine

Good luck

I'm worried about the paperwork. What should I make sure is 100% there?
Should all my toys be labelled in seperate boxes for the eyfs?

Thanks

I think safeguarding policy is the main policy you are required to have, make sure your certificate and parents poster is displayed on wall or poster board.

Contracts, child records and attendance records she will check so make sure they are accessible and up to date. Accident, medication and cause for concern records, permission slips.

Try this Ofsted factsheet.

'Requirements for the Childcare Register: Childminders and home childcarers.'

Not sure where I printed mine off from but will be on Ofsted Website. Don't panic if she is as nice as my inspector she will see above any chaos caused by a house move but she will need to see the minimum legal requirements met.

Also does your DO have a checklist? When mine came she checked what I had in place and ticked it off for me. She then was able to give me to-do list based on what I didn't have. If you haven't had a visit recently and your DO hasn't got time to come and do one before your inspection ask her for a copy of her tick list to help you.

Good luck! x

What's a DO? :-/ I'm still new to the terms.

I have things like an accident folder, safeguarding folder etc.

Feels like I'm missing something important?

sorry Dani - DO is for your support worker - probably through your local county council - in Devon they use Noel Quinn so you have a contact you can phone for advice/support. They can visit your home and pick up the major things you may have missed! I am sure you haven't missed anything and you will be fine!
When is your inspection? Have you had it? Good luck!

Safeguarding is one of the most important areas.
Best tip is to stay calm and pretend inspector is naked lol (it helped me)
