I've changed the events manager so that it shows upcoming events for the next 14 days at the bottom of the forum.

Do you think 14 days is enough or do you want more?

I was just wondering Pauline... what events does it actually show? Is it birthdays or special dates...?

If it's special dates, a month by month view would probably be nice for planning...

It shows whatever anyone enters.............so birthdays, reminders (e.g. the TV prog re EYFS) special dates e.g. Diwalli, Chinese New Year etc.

I can make it a monthly annoucement if you like but can only choose an amount of days so would have to be either 30 or 31. You can also see the rest of the year by clicking 'calendar' at the top of the forum.

I used to enter all the special dates on the old forum but found it so time consuming I had to give up, so if anyone feels like adding a few, that would be great.

Perhaps 12 people could each take a month and add any festivals etc.?

I've added some options to make it quicker and easier to enter info, such as event type - Hindu, Christian etc.

I've now set this as 60 days advanced viewing which will give plenty of notification and time for planning for future events.

Hi Marie - your birthday is automatically added through user cp so check and see what boxes you've ticked in there!

I've answered about the post count in your other post - I hope it makes sense now!

Talk soon x

Sounds liks Sarah has answered about your birthday and post count.

One thing to add though - if you do not want your birthday to show with your age then select "do no show birthday and age" (or words to that effect) in your user CP profile.

Then add your birthday as an event:

Click on calendar in the row of options >then click add new event > select the relevant date and there you can add your birthday or Genesis info etc.

Any problems just ask. :)
