I only get ones which say they are 'washable' like Crayola. Been happy with them. Got them from supermarket.

I use the big ikea chunky ones as they don't get squashed inside:mad: lol!

i second the ones from crafty crocodiles, they seem to lasting well!

i've also got some thick chunky ones from whs i think.

we have 2 pen pots in my house... a pot with nice/new/working really well pens, (generally used for schoolies and under strict supervision by LO) and a second pot which are the pens the LO use for general colouring etc, as they get their nibs pushed in/snapped/lids lost etc. this is the pot that the 'old' pens, thats still work go in!

I asked this a couple of months ago

http://childmindinghelp.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=92490&highlight=colouring+pens

I opted for the Berol broad type in the end. I bought a tub that has 42 (3 of each colour) and they are ALL still going strong.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Berol-Colour...9435398&sr=1-3 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000NJSWU8/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=smallmocampin-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=19450&creativeASIN=B000NJSWU8)

We even lost a lid for 10 days and pen is still useable.

I.ve been getting tesco's own with a clear lid, not the really thin cheapy ones, they seem to last well and are not expensive either:)

i hate felt tips......ever since my brother ate the insides of them in 1972 and being his big sister i had to drink warm milk with him as advised by the GP (who did a home visit to check him out-you dont get service like that no do you?)

i hate warm milk.....i also hate felt tips.....

and my brother?,,,,,well is 40 years older and still a pain in the :censored:....and he wont still drink warm milk either!!!!!

I use Berol Broad Tip too. They're expensive but last for AGES - I've spent a small fortune on 'cheap' rubbish pens that don't last 2 mins.

My mum has pens at her house that my two use when they go there. They are the exact same pens that my sister and I used. 24 years ago  Would love to know what make they are, but I'm expecting the company have gone bust from lack of sales!!

I've always used crayons but got fed up of them drying out so bought some from ELC. They are fine but don't wash off hands too easily.

We have been buying these. They last longer than cheap pens and are completely washable.

Always use Crayola as they are truly washable. I use the chunky ones for LO's and have thin ones for DD and my Schoolie.

They can be expensive but if I'm anywhere and they have them on offer I pick up a pack.
