Here's a card I seem to do most years for the Dad's.

I bought a map book from a pound shop and cut out a piece with pinking shears (sp) scissors.

I do try to find out what area the Dads come from to make it extra special, then print out cars and let the children stick it onto a folded card.

I also print a picture inside of the child making the card.

Clever idea and thanks for sharing.

One question though, do you usually write in them yourself (if little ones) or give to mum empty for her to write?

That's a nice idea. This year we have decorated treasure chests and put little bits of artwork, photos and then I have printed out quotes from each child of reasons why they love their daddy. They have come out quite well and the LO's are very keen to give them to their dads. Had to start early though as they are a bit fiddly

I usually write in the card then let the little ones make their mark with a crayon

Sounds lovely - did you get the treasure chests from crafty crocodiles?

Looking for inspiration as we have an inset day on Monday so thought we'd start some Father's Day crafts

Here's the poem I use for the card, I got it from the forum.

I let the little ones draw inside then write this next to it.

To Daddy

Here's the picture I drew for you
I cannot write so it will have to do
If I could, I would like it to say
"Have a Happy Father's Day"

Shame we have already done ours, as the poem is gorgeous! Must save for next year!

I did this for mother's day and each mum cried!! (Reasons why they love mummy though of course!)
