olympics activities

after my tread about jubilee activities i thought i would see what you all have planned for the olympics?

we are going to a sports day organised by our local childminding group.

i plan on do races etc in the garden, trying out different sports etc and making a collage of pictures the children find but running out of ideas!

we are going to have mini-races too!!!:D

I am getting loads of hoops too!

i also plan on making an olympic torch with gold card and red,yellow and orange tissue paper flames!

We will also be going to see the olympic torch when it passes through our town (not sure if i have any mindees that day but we'll be going anyway!)

I'm just thinking about ideas based around the Olympic ring colours - red, blue, black, yellow, green

I'm thinking coloured pasta necklaces, coloured rice etc

We're having an Olympics themed party.

We will be making torches when the flame comes though our town, using kitchen roll tubes to print Olympic ring pictures, making a medal chart to chart how many gold, silver and bronze medals some countries get, making a collage of sports pictures cut from magazines, making flags for different countries competing - cant think of anything else ATM
