Cheap natural storage

Hi all, I've just been inspired by the blog at www.playnaturally.co.uk created by 'butterfly', thankyou butterfly if you are reading. I have for some time wanted to ditch the plastic storage I have (along with plastic toys) but I'm not sure what I could replace it with and still make good use of the space. the plastic storage boxes do hold a lot of toys.

Any ideas would be much appreciated x

I have a wooden 6ft bookcase made for me which I use wicker baskets on the shelves containing ie cars in one zoobs in another etc. things up higher which children ask for. Also a wooden toy box approx 4ft long with young children s toys in. wooden shelves in a alcove.Will be interested in other peoples answers.

That would be great butterfly. This morning me and the children have had a great clear out, we've chucked some of the plastic toys that are hardly played with and I want to expand the role-play and also introduce more creative activities. Its the inspiration I needed x
