pet rat owners

does anyone keep pet rats and if so do the parents mind or do you get a yeuch type reaction lol
My partner used to have some years ago and now somone has kindly given us a cage so he would like some more but I am unsure as I dont want it to put potential parents off,, we have lots of other pets, dogs, cat, rabbits, guineapigs etc but there always seems to be a reputation that follows rats,, Iknow that they are freindly and are acutualy quite clean creatures but sadly this is not always how they are portrayed .

We used to years ago. They lived in my son's bedroom. Most parents didn't mind as long as they did not have to touch them themselves like you we had loads of other animals and they were just 2 more. One older girl loved to carry one in her shirt pocket.

One family chose me because of the rats as they had them at home too!
