Next steps - please help

I'm new

Please could someone help me, before I cry. I am looking at the practice guidance for the early years founding stage, every child matters. It tells you the age bands and a guide to what children would be doing, which I understand, once I have done my observation on a child, where can I find information on next steps??? Sorry to sound stupid, but I am so lost????? :blush:

You kind of make them up as you go along - depending on the likes, dislikes, interests etc of the individual child.

In the EYFS Development Matters documents the 2 columns next to the ages and stages information should give you clues as to what the child might enjoy as well.
