Lunch today,

we are having salad today, very excited as using home grown lettuce, its worked I'm so excited.. never grown anything before.. and its really nice!!..

Can't wait for everything else to crop, got spuds, tomatoes, cucumber, beetroot, beans, courgettes, pumpkins, peppers and a few other things.

Got loads of lettuce, not sure we'll get through it all, so going to send mindee home with a bag of it, sure parents will be impressed:)

Oh i'd love to try & grow my own veg, but wouldn't know where to start!!!

Hope you really enjoy your lunch, sounds scrummy, & how good is it for the lo's to be eating the food that they have grown!

hmmmm well, most of the salad ended up on the floor with H 16mth and my 18mth old ds.

don't suppose they appreciate just yet the home grown goodness of it all just yet... did explain to them all about it though during lunch, so you never know if I keep banging on about it, they'll understand one day !! :D

sure that my 8 year old will eat it later on, seeing as she planted the seeds, she'll be well chuffed that they have grown so well..

I looked at some seeds only the other day but i noticed its too late to plant most things now..

Most things are ok to plant even now, just means you'll get them later and you may have to water them more if the weather is very warm.
