Hi, just wondering if anyone knows the correct procedure to follow. I had to call the NSPCC late on Friday for advice, and they made an instant referral. As they made the referral and not me (technically), what should I do re. advising Ofsted? Do I leave it with the NSPCC or should I tell Ofsted so they are aware? Help! First time I've had to deal with child protection and just want to follow best practice.

Thanks!

I guess your suppose to follow your safeguarding policy depending what order you have who to call first ...

Children's services and follow there advice
Ofsted needs to be kept updated with the situation

Sending you hugs as I think this must be a very stressful time.

As boxtree7 says you need to follow the steps you have on your safeguarding procedure.

So write it up, call Ofsted etc.

Hugs xx

thanks all - wrote everything up after speaking to the Duty Social Care worker late on Friday. Calling Ofsted now and have sent a text to the head of CM for my local council.
