Does this sound like a urine infection?

My 2.5 year old mindee today has been getting upset when he's done a wee and asking me to change his nappy straight away...

Does it sound like he's just becoming more aware of his body and the feeling of being wet, or does it sound like he might have an infection?

He does also feel a bit hot and seems extra tired and groggy...

He also keeps telling me he's done a poo but he hasn't so I'm wondering if maybe he just feels like he needs to poo and is getting upset cos it's a new feeling for him??

Hard to tell via the internet! I would say give him plenty of fluids and let his parents know when they collect him. Even if its not a wee infection, it does sound like he's coming down with something.

Usually a urine infection means its painful when they wee. Agree wit Bridey, sounds like he might be coming down with something

Yeah that's what makes me think it might be cos he's getting really upset and telling me he's done a wee...

But then I don't know if he's upset cos it's hurting or upset cos he's wet.

I've never experienced potty training so I don't know if that's "normal"!

Will just tell his parents and let them decide what to do.
