This is a subject that rears its head from time to time - childminders receive phone calls or letters telling them that they must have their electrical equipment PAT tested.
This links to a 6 page leaflet from the Health and Safety Executive which you can download, print and put in your risk assessment file -
http://www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg236.htm
The information in the leaflet makes it clear that is it not normally necessary for childminders to have electrical equipment PAT tested.
The leaflet also gives advice about how we can ensure electrical equipment is maintained and used safely.
Thank you to Ruthierhyme for pointing the information out to me :D
