In a recent thread Onceinabluemoon mentioned Devon Childminding Association and that they are a business that supports childminders - including a 24 hr support phone line.

I have now checked out their website http://www.devonca.org/DCMAStart.html

Out of curiosity I emailed DCMA and asked if they had any other regions that they supported - the response was that it is just DCMA BUT they welcome members from outside Devon - and indeed if I want to join I could - and Worcestershire is a fair distance from Devon.

As I say just for information and to add to the choice of support organisations.

Penny :)

I am from Devon and am a member of the DCMA and did my paediatric first aid and CYPOP 5 with them. They are a lovely bunch of ladies and are always at the end of the phone and reply to emails (I prefer to email) really quickly. I have had email replies from them at 10pm at night which I totally didn't expect :)
Love the DCMA :clapping:

I did my ICP with them as well, am a member, and have met quite a few of the staff. They are very supportive and tell you things as they are. Can highly recommend and have no vested interest to do so (just in case anybody was wondering, lol!)

And thanks Penny, I was just coming on tonight to let people know they could join from outside Devon too. :)
