My current Registration allows me to have 2 children under 5 as I have a 3 year old son. He will be 4 next month and will be in full-time education from September. Will I be able to increase my numbers to 3 once he is in school? Or do I have to wait until the September after his 5th birthday?

once your son is in full time school, he will be classed as a rising 5 and therefore, you will be able to increase your under 5's to 3. there should be a clause on your certificate about rising 5's, and i'm sure it is mentioned in the revised EYFS.

Yes once he is in full time, 10 sessions a week school you need to let Ofsted know... as far as the rules go at the moment.
They are apparently producing guidance about rules from Sept :D
