Hi, I'm just wondering what online safeguarding courses people have done? My DO told me today I wont be registered before completing a safeguarding course and the ones they provide are not until sept, whereas I have everything else done my Ofsted reg forms have been sent off and I'm just waiting for my pre reg, dont then want to have to wait until sept before I can get registered! Ive done my CYPOP 5 which has a section on safeguarding so have an understanding but dont know what else is required?:panic:

I went on my local council's safeguarding board website and they had a free one on there which I did. Inspector was satisfied when I had my pre-reg on Monday and my application has now been 'signed off' and I should get my certificate soon, so it must have been ok :) xx

I have done the Educare safeguarding courses they are good.

however for the new EYFS we have to attend a safeguarding course authorised by our local authority - so check with your local bod before spending any money.

I'm fortunate that as a Teaching Assistant I can complete my safeguarding course for free through my local council which my TA colleague have told me can be useful for becoming a childminder :)
