I've heard talk that Childminders wont have to belong to a network in order to claim the Early Years Funded sessions. Has anyone else heard this and if you have can you point me in the right direction for info on the internet please.

It is true that won't have to be part of a network - but you will still have to meet your LA requirements - which vary greatly.

There is a suggestion that cm's could form their own network to access the FE - but it is managed throigh the LA's so would seem unlikely that they would agree to it.

I am waiting to see the new code of conduct to see just how it is worded.

Hertfordshire go rid of Networks several years ago. Accredited childminders here no longer have to be in one. it was a very elite and restrictive practice so i am glad its gone.

We were told at our network meeting last week that we will still have to be in a network to be able to deliver the funding:(:(:(
