car insurance query!!!

Hi, do you all insure your cars through special childminding companies like morton michel or do you use other companies? MM want £600 to renew my insurance!! As I am 40 with 10+years no claims bonus and only drive a 1.6 zafira and not a ferrari I feel this is a little excessive!!
Any help/advice greatly received!!!

hi, I am on my husbands insurance through Admiral, it just states fully comp to include use for spouse's buisness, he did tell them I'm a childminder. shop around I'm sure you will find a cheaper one:)

I was with Churchill for years, they put their prices up so last year, £300 to £850 :eek:

I used MM last year for £280 and they put their prices up by £100 this year so I am now with Tesco for just over £300.

I'm a bit like you but have been driving for 40 years ans had 3 accidents none my fault and the last over 20 years ago!!

MM and Blu Fin are not the only ones that insure cms. Be careful with Blu Fin because I have heard they have started their scare tactics again and are trying to infer they are the only ones who properly insure cms and this is simply not true.

i have a 1.6 zaf 07 plate and am ins through aviva they do cover childminders and with coutesy car, breakdown cover etc and hubby second driver it cost £450

Churchill for me - very reasonable for first time users

I used MM a few years ago and they were very reasonable but that's no longer the case for me. I have just renewed again with Churchill £200 cheaper than MM
