View Full Version : Under 5's at school?
Hi all as a newly registered childminder i need a bit of clarity on children in reception but under 5. I have two children under 5 myself however my daughter is due to start reception in Sept 12. Does this enable me to take another under 5 into my setting(i already have a 6 month baby). Your help is really appreciated:(

my understanding (i think) is if they are in full time school, but only 4 they then move up to be classed at the 5-8 group so you can then have 3 under 5's aswell.

this is correct but ofsted need to add this variation onto your cert,just procedure but has to be done
